Myths and Conceptions about the Poetry

Abstract

This paper has been written to trace out the significance of poetry through the myths and conceptions of the poetry. Myths are the basic source of knowledge to understand the significance of poetry with relation to religion and pre-historical life of mankind. If we look at the history we can find that the poetry and the religion are tie–up in a dual relation; they have served each other and have remained critics to each other. This study especially focuses on this dual relation of the poetry and religion in order to determine particular significance of the poetry.
