Abstract

< p align="justify">We present experimental measurement of photoelectron collection efficiency of a new organic semiconductor photocathode Vp81in pure methane and argon methane mixtures in different ratios as a function of applied reduced electric field at a gas pressure of 200 torr. It is confirmed that collection efficiency increases in charge collection mode and reaches near the vacuum value at high gas gain. The general universal behavior was also confirmed as predicted by some authors.
