About the Journal

The Women is a major international Research Journal for the analysis and debate of trends and approaches in social science research in general and especially in Gender Studies. It is an HEC (Higher Education Commission) recognized annual research journal. The Women journal provides a space for innovative theoretical as well as empirical contributions to issues that transcend the framework of the traditional disciplines. Given its international orientation, contributions of a comparative or cross-cultural nature are particularly welcome. It has a highly qualified Advisory Board with a strong commitment to gender issues, representing academics and researchers from around the world, including Pakistan.

Scope and Mission

The Woman is an interdisciplinary journal with strong bases in some areas of the disciplines of Gender Studies, Sociology, Education, Media, History, Language and Literature, and to some extent of psychology, political science. Contributions are welcome from all of these disciplines, but in particular when they address challenging and comprehensive issues concerning women around the globe and particularly in Pakistan. The Women aim to contribute to overcoming over-specialization in current social-science research, we prioritize research works that explore or answer the research gaps that are far from being well known. It provides an excellent platform for social scientists, academicians, and researchers to publish their work and contribute to the knowledge base of social sciences. The Women annual research Journal has an ethical responsibility to publish the work of researchers and academicians without any bias or nepotism. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism or any other grey practices in the field of research. Upholding our standards, we will strive to bring genuine and quality research work to our large readership.
