‘DOHA’ COMPOSED BY SHAIKH AYAZ

Abstract

Shaikh Ayaz, the Great Modern Poet of Sindhi Language, has composed poetry in almost all forms of Aroozi, Modern and Classical Poetry. He replaced old themes and traditions of Aroozi and Classical Poetry by inducting modern themes in artistic language. He expressed his romantic feelings in relation to physical beauty of woman in his modern Doha. He also expressed Political, Social and Philosophical themes in Doha. In this paper I have traced out thematic and artistic worth of Sindhi Doha composed by Shaikh Ayaz.
