Study of Word "PIHRIYON" and its Inflected Forms لفظ ‘پھريون‘ ۽ ان سان سلهاڙيل ٻين صورتن جو اڀياس
Abstract
Many words in Sindhi language change form in syntactic form, the basis of such changes are in spoken language. For example: “مان
ڪنڊياري وڃان ٿو” ( I am going to Kandiaro) or “مان موري کان ٿي آيو
آهيان” ; (I came from Moro) etc. these main words such as: Kandiaro or Moro, change their form, according to inanimate masculine and feminine words in a sentence. Same as, word پھريون , the ordinal number is used in inflected compound forms due to number and inanimate gender. Suppose: inanimate singular masculine ‘پھريون ڪتاب ‘ inanimate plural masculine ‘ پھريان
ڪتا ب ‘inanimate singular feminine ‘ پھرين پي ن ‘, inanimate plural feminine ‘پھريون پينون ‘,etc. Grammatically, it is noted that this word is used as adjective, and also used as adverb such as: پھرين
(before). A rare languages posse this type of inflected forms of adjective, in which compound word adjective + noun both are changed in form; whenever, English is not following this rule. In this paper the inflected forms of ordinal number ‘پھريون ‘ (first) is studied and collect the standard forms of word to examine the writings of few authors used the aforesaid word‘s inflected forms regarding Sindhi Orthography.
