LINGUISTIC STUDY OF THE HAMAL FAQEERLAGHARI’S POETRY
Abstract
This study offers a linguistic analysis of the poetry of Hamal FaqeerLaghari, a prominent Sindhi classical poet known for his emotional depth and social commentary. The research examines various linguistic aspects of Laghari's work, including his use of the Sindhi language and regional dialects, phonological patterns such as rhyme and rhythm, and the employment of metaphors and symbolic imagery. By analyzing his lexical choices, syntax, and stylistic features, the study explores how Laghari’s poetry reflects the cultural and socio-political landscape of Sindhi society while also offering a window into personal and collective experiences of love, loss, and mysticism. Through a comprehensive linguistic lens, this research provides a deeper understanding of howLaghari's language conveys personal emotion and societal critique, establishing him as a significant voice in Sindhi literature.
