MUHAMMAD KHAN “GHANI” AN ACCOMPLISHED OF NEW ERA OF “KAFI” POET

Abstract

Mouhammad Khan “Ghani” (1903- 1979) was Poet,Proser, Journalist and Publisher. He was born in Village Tikhur, Taluka Bulri Shah Karim, District Tando Muhammad Khan, He Passed Sindhi final and Joined as Primary teacher in 1916. He also passed Tapedar Examination and get trained in it but not joined. In 1924 he started Journalism with his uncle Muhammad Hashim “Mukhalis” in “Musliman” Newspaper. Ghani became editor of “Muslimam” in the life of “Mukhalis”, in 1931. Ghani has written 11 Books but his published books are 3. He has compiled one book “Armaghan-e-Hamid” of Hafiz Haji Hamid, his grand father. He started poetry with Ghazal in the age of 13, but he then practiced about all the genres of poetry. He Started writing `kafi` in 1952. In this research paper I have tried to cover genre of Kafi in poetry of Mukhammad khan “Ghani”.
