An-analytical Study of Short Stories of Shaikh Ayaz

Abstract

Sheikh Ayaz was a prominent name in modern Sindhi literature. Sheikh Ayaz is famous for his poetry, but he is also a great short story writer. The themes of Sheikh Ayaz’s stories are based on earthly realities. He raises his voice against the cruelty and exploitation of the upper class of society. The short stories of Sheikh Ayaz present modernity and progressivism. He started to write short stories at an early age, and as he focused on stories, he became a great fiction writer. In this research article, an attempt has been made to explore the themes and techniques of Sheikh Ayaz’s short stories.
