Aestheticism in Mir Abdul Hussain Khan Sangi’s Poetry

Abstract

The study explores the importance of aestheticism, its multiple layers in Sangi’s poetry; and its relation with philosophical concepts. Aestheticism is a branch of Philosophy that deals with art as a doctrine and has direct relation with beauty and aesthetics.This study applies qualitative research methodology and thematic and content analyses as a research tools. The data concludes that the poetry of Mir Abdul Hussain Khan Sangi is based on aesthetics and romantic perspectives of world around us. He has composed his magical verses forthe layman so that he may feel pleasure and perceive the aesthetics around him.
