Assessment of Strength of Dominant Hand And BMI of the Students at University Of Sindh in Pakistan

Abstract

Background: There are numerous rationales core of strength and body composition appraisal programs. It does include determining the efficacy of physiological conditions of various age groups of communities. To assess the health and fitness, comparing individual’s population norms, and predicting potential of sport performance. The main objectives of the study have escalated the health and fitness environment and develop healthy keeping attitude in the general public of Pakistan. Initially we collected the samples for hand grip strength of (dominant hand) and body mass index of the students in the first phase of research. Method: The experimental research method was applied for collection of the data. To pertain an action research application was carried out in an indoor gym based venue. Conduct an assessment of the hand grip strength and BMI of the students. There are total 100 male and female subjects were participated. During array of HFA 64 male and 35 female students were examined. The strength of dominant hand by STF hand grip dynamometer and BMI by Quetelet index process. The information was collected by the standardized norm and analyzed by WHO BMI Chart. Results: These 100 respondents were between 18 to 25 age groups who were administered the hand gripdynamometer and BMI tests. The overall ratios of male comprised of 64.6% and female 35.4% participants. The mean of male 45.07 and female was 29.71 respectively and both genders accounted for 39.64. The standard deviation of male 6.82 and female was 4.36 and overall both sexesis 9.54. In BMI the mean of male 22.30 and female 21.06 and overall both gender 21.86. The standard deviation depicted of male 2.58 female 3.91 and overall 3.15. The study population was relatively young, and their attitudes during evaluation of performance were encouraging throughout the assessment. Conclusions: The purpose of investigationis has to develop an attitude of HFA in student’s communities and to expand the behavior of the selfphysical fitness evaluation capabilities, and find their own strength and weakness and functional movement in physical education, health and sports activities. The Overall goals to benefit across all quarters of the public to improve their physical and physiological competencies keep them healthy and active lifestyle in their routine living. This study will provide a novel setting of HFA and develop attitude in the participants and create the physically fit and healthy lifestyle in general public.
