Effects of Athletics on Academic Performance of Pakistani Female Students at Graduate Level

Abstract

The present research aimed at determining the effects of athletics on academ-ics of Pakistani female students at graduate level. The study focused on find-ing out whether athletics are helpful in their academic performance or they tend to be more disadvantageous. Data was collected from seventy female graduate athletes using a survey questionnaire, comprising of closed ended questions based on likert scale. The results of the current study revealed that athletics appears to be beneficial to female students in their academics. The results further showed athletics helped them in successful transition to col-lege life, better management skills, enhanced their motivation to attend clas-ses regularly and their persistence towards completion of their degree.
