Parallel Image Processing With Multi-Core Systems

Abstract
This paper presents the parallelization of the libpuzzle library that is used to find similar (graphical) images even after modifications. Existing sequential code in C++ is modified using Cilk Plus tool in order to execute it on multiple processing units with shared memory. As the parallel version could be run on multiple processors, the execution time is comparatively less. The results in sequential version are retained in parallel version with no change in the functionality of the application
