Focusing on Multidimensional Aspects of Creative Writing Skills: Contemporary Approaches in Teaching English as a Foreign Language in Pakistan

Abstract

This paper explores a wide range of issues related to the creative writing in schools and institutions in Pakistan. Main emphasis is given on the theoretical and practical usage of creative writing. This research is qualitative in nature, theories presented by David Crystal,Alan Maley and Regie Routman support this research as a theoretical framework. In Pakistan, conventional writing has very firm roots in the area of applied linguistics and educational field, this research will be helpful for the educational policy makers in the country to introduce these techniques of creative writing at school level to meet the standard set by the modern world.
