Factors affecting the Students Intention to use digital learning during the COVID-19 outbreak in Pakistan: A Case Study

Abstract

The emergence of the covid-19 impacted each institution of life and it also became a serious challenge to ensure the mobility of learning. Under the strict measures to close the educational activities initiated the culture of digital learning as an innovative system at rural and backward area of Pakistan. This study aims to investigate the intention of students to perceive the online learning as an easy and useful to them during the COVID-19 outbreak which results to impact on their learning management and accomplishment of syllabus. Moreover, pandemic has remained a hard task across the world communities to urge them to accept and introduce digital system in the diffusion of educational activities as Pakistan also followed same mechanism to continue the learning process in the country. The prevailing study applied initiatives to interpret the students’ perception of students from graduate to Ph.D. level in Sindh that confined to a particular institution the Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur. For attaining objective of the study constructs like perceived ease of use (PEOU), perceived usefulness (PU), and intention to use e-learning (IEL) were proposed in order to envisage the intentional level of student. Survey was adopted to collect data and 215 respondents feedback secured and interpreted via filling questionnaires by means on online and personal approach of researcher to accomplish the task. In this study theoretical perspective was based on the TAM and UTAUT model relating to meet the students’ perception to adopt innovative technology. Five point likert scale was used to collect the data and interpretation of data was carried out through SPSS version 24 and test of Hypotheses encircled regressions and correlations.
