Abstract

Scholars and researchers have been studying various dimensions of knowledge transfer (KT) since last two decades. This knowledge transfer between individuals (inter-individual) in an organization is further segregated into two dimensions; tacit and explicit in this research, has received lesser attention relatively. This research concerns the evaluation of the relation of knowledge transfer with new product development (NPD). Knowledge transfer is an independent variable which is further divided into two parts; knowledge transfer by codification (KTC) and knowledge transfer by personalization (KTP). In this research a survey was carried out through questionnaires among the managers of the firms which were involved in innovation. The analyses were done in PASW 20 in order to check the reliability and validity of data. Regression analyses were done to obtain the results. This research will contribute by analyzing the impact of knowledge transfer on the development of new product.
