Abstract

In this paper, we propose an algorithm for solving the obstacle problem. We begin with a suitable initial guess value of the solution, and then construct an iteration algorithm to generate the monotone sequence. We prove the monotone and convergence of the algorithm numerical examples are given for the obstacle problem for a membrane and the elastic-plastic torsion problem.
