CONTENT OF METALS IN DRINKING WATER OF SEVEN DISTRICTS OF SINDH PROVINCE

Abstract

An analysis of the quality of drinking water actually being used by local inhabitants of the districts Hyderabad, Mirpukhas, NawabShah, Sanghar, Badin, NousheroFeroz and Khairpur was performed. Median and range values for the metals Na, K, Ca, Mg, Fe and Mn were computed. In all cases. the median values for these metals were well below the WHO upper limit recommendations. The Interrelationship of the parameters studied is examined from district and/or source of water viewpoints.
