ANALYTICAL INVESTIGATION OF CONSTITUENTS OF CHENOPODIUM ALBUM

Abstract

An economical important leafy green vegetable plant Chenopodium album has been analyzed for the tace elements, by using Atomic absoption spectroscopy technique. Plant sample of this species were collected from wheat grain field in Khairpur district. Dried plant was analyzed for different elements viz: Calcium, Sodium, Magnesium, Potassium, Iron, Manganese, Zinc, Lead, Copper, Chromium and Nickel. High level of calcuim and potassium were observed in root of C album plant. The plant causing poisoning by stored high Elevated level of iron, manganese and lead were observed in leaves, chromium was observed in stem.
