Supporting Agile Methodologies in Practice: A Study of Pakistani Software Industry

Abstract

Agile practice adoption is a complex and costly process for small or medium sized enterprises. Since most of the Pakistani software industry is mainly based on such enterprises, hence it is important to understand the correlation between the two. This study provides a comprehensive understanding of the existing project management processes and their short comings. Based on the study we have developed a web based project management tool to overcome some of the shortcomings which are obstructing the use of agile practices in our local software industry.
