Awareness about effects of drug addiction in Faisalabad District, Pakistan

Abstract

Modern age with depression and anxiety has forced people to use different types of narcotics in order to alleviate their sorrows and suffering. The aim of present research is to create awareness about the effects of drug addiction. 200 male drug addicts’ patients are interviewed admitted in Government Hospitals, private rehabilitations and clinic of Faisalabad district through questionnaires. Chi-square test is applied to analyze the data in order to create the awareness about effects of drug addiction. From the analysis, it can be concluded that drug addiction is more common in youngsters, low income class and in illiterate people.
