Author Guidelines

INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS 

University of Sindh Journal of Information and Communication Technology (USJICT) publishes original scientific research papers within specialized domains in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunication. Papers must describe new and valuable information. Manuscripts should be unpublished, neither accepted nor under consideration elsewhere. The authors must carefully check all the symbols, abbreviations and technical terms for accuracy, consistency and readability and ensure that the manuscript, along with illustrations, meets the requirements outlined below.

CATEGORIES OF PAPERS

Regular Papers: Regular papers must be complete reports in final terms. The usual format of the paper includes Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results Discussion, Acknowledgment (if any) and the References.
Short Communications: It should describe an important finding or conclusion that is of particular interest to justify its publication in preliminary form and should not exceed two printed pages.

MANUSCRIPT 

All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Submissions sent via email or by any other means will not be considered.

All manuscripts must be in English. University of Sindh Journal of Information and Communication Technology (USJICT) strictly follows the manuscript preparation guidelines as provided by the IEEE. These guidelines include complete descriptions of the fonts, spacing, and related information for producing your journal article.

Kindly download the journal template file below and use this file to format your manuscript. Read the template carefully. This template provides authors with most of the formatting specifications needed for preparing electronic versions of their papers.

All pages of the manuscript must be numbered consecutively including those carrying references, tables, figures and captions to the illustrations. Both the drawing and photographs are to be numbered as figures in a common sequence and each must be referred in the text. A separate list of typed captions should be attached.

 PAGE LIMITS

The paper should be in IEEE format with  minimum 5 pages and Maximum 12 pages, in 2 Column layout, single line spaced.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Provided Names of Three Possible Reviewers, One International and Two National Reviewers with their official email address.

University of Sindh Journal of Information and Communication Technology (USJICT) follows an Open Access Policy under Attribution-NonCommercial CC-BY-NC license. Researchers can copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, for any purpose. Authors can self-archive publisher's version of the accepted article in digital repositories and archives. 

Upon acceptance, the author must  transfer the copyright of this manuscript to the Journal for publication on paper, on data storage media and online with distribution rights to USJICT, University of sindh, Jamshoro, Pakistan.
