Abstract

Developing countries are realizing the importance of e-government to provide the best possible public services to the citizens and businesses. However, several problems have been faced by the organizations in implementation of the electronic government. In this paper, we analyzed Pakistan’s e-government based on the United Nation (UN) e-government survey reports (2003 - 2012). We also conducted SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) and PEST (Political, Economical, Sociological and Technological) analysis to identify different factors which have positive and negative effects on Pakistan’s e-government.
