The first record of Acinopus (Oedematicus) megacephalus (Rossi, 1794) (Coleoptera, Carabidae, Harpalini, Harpalina) from Semnan province, near Semnan airport, Iran, is presented here. The entire morphological characteristic along with illustration was given. This new entry will enhanced the diversity of this genus in this region and will be helpful to update existing fauna..
