As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Asia Pacific, a Research Journal of Far East & Southeast Asia, follows the blind-reviewing policy. Original manuscript should be submitted through web link http://sujo.usindh.edu.pk/index.php/ASIAPACIFIC/login .  Authors are advised to submit manuscript along with cover sheet, which shows the title of the study, the authors’ name, the institutional affiliation and address and email of the corresponding author. The author’s name and affiliation should not be mentioned on the first page of the paper. All parts of the manuscript should be formatted according to the guidelines provided as under

Writing Style: British English should be used throughout manuscript.  First time abbreviations should be written in brackets after full form i.e. Association of Southeast Asian Nations Region (ASEAN)., subsequently only ASEAN without a bracket. Date should be written as December 7, 2016, while word "percent" should be used instead of sign "%". All the tables and statistical data should be well organised and be compatible with the running text.

Length: Abstract must not be more than 200 words and minimum of 150 words along with 4-6 keywords. The minimum length of a manuscript should be 4000 words and no longer than 7000 words including references and appendices.

Formatting style: Manuscript should be typed in Microsoft Word, Times New Roman, font size 12, double-spaced, with margins of at least one inch on all sides. Manuscript pages should be numbered consecutively.

References Style:  It must be in accordance with the American Psychological Association (APA) citation style (latest edition). Full references must be listed as a separate section at the end of the article.

In-text citation: In-text references must be included following the use of a quote or paraphrase taken from another piece of work. These citations include the surname of the author and year of publication only, e.g. Abbasi (2016) states… Or … (Abbasi, 2016). In case of direct quote, there must be page number e.g. (Abbasi, 2016, p.50). Two authors: The surname of both authors is stated with either ‘and’ or an ampersand between. For example: Abbasi and Soomro (2016) state… Or … (Abbasi & Soomro, 2017).Three, Four or Five Authors: For the first cite, all surname names should be listed e.g. Abbasi, Soomro, Memon and Shaikh (2016) state… Or … ( Abbasi, Soomro, Memon & Shaikh, 2016). Author with Multiple Works From One Year: Works should be cited with a, b, c etc. following the date. For example: (Abbasi, 2017a) Or (Abbasi, 2017b). Multiple Works in One Parentheses: If these works are by the same author, the surname is stated once followed by the dates in order chronologically. For instance: Abbasi (2007, 2013, 2017) or (Abbasi 2007, 2013, 2017). A Group or Organisation: For the first cite, use the full name of the group. Subsequently, just use abbreviation.  A Secondary Source: The original author and year should be stated first followed by ‘as cited in’ followed by the author and year of the secondary source. For example: Soomro (1980) as cited in Memon (2017) states… Or … (Soomro, 1980, as cited in Memon, 2017).
