The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a flagship infrastructure project under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), holds considerable promise for transforming cultural heritage and tourism in Pakistan. This research investigates how CPEC can make tourist destinations more accessible, promote Pakistan's rich cultural heritage, and foster economic growth through carefully planned tourism initiatives. The study will specifically examine how infrastructure development related to CPEC, such as improved road connectivity and transportation systems can connect remote sites of cultural importance, thereby attracting both domestic and international tourists. The study will also identify potential opportunities for the tourism sector, examining how policymakers can leverage CPEC infrastructure for the sustainable development of tourism. The study will provide insights to review and revise the existing policies, with the objective of fully harnessing the opportunities within the tourism sector. Ultimately, this research seeks to offer valuable insights for policymakers, tourism industry experts, and academics, emphasizing the strategic application of the CPEC initiative to significantly uplift tourism in Pakistan.
