Aims of the journal
The primary aim of “The Sindh University Journal of Biochemistry, Nutrition and Food Science” is to integrate Health care, food science with nutrition. To publish latest research work including articles, editorials, theories/ therapies and other research findings in the field of Nutrition and disorders/diseases specially at International and inland renowned seminaries and related research activities.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Improvement of knowledge in human nutrition and disorders/diseases.
2. Publish new treatment, cases and complications of disorders. 3. Develop understanding of the cultural, environmental, socio-economic and other factors which influence Food, Nutrition and Health care practices.
3. Enhance Food and Nutrition related skills which would assist in enhancing quality of life of people.
4. Develop expertise on food consumption, life style, physical activity patterns etcetera which have serious association with good health, and control of diseases.
5. Enhance professional competence of students in Food, Nutrition and diseases to enable them to capitalize various career opportunities .
MISSION
To provide an integrated view of latest research work being undertaken within “Biochemistry, Nutrition and Food Sciences” in International and National Seminaries including University of Sindh. This would include update on nutritional health hazards, latest remedies / therapies, an overview of various activities in this field within various seminaries of Pakistan including university of Sindh and other renowned seminaries abroad. We will also publish your views, editorials and other valuable research work in offing as preliminary food for thought for further research by our expert readers/audience community.
